What is wisdom
What is
Wisdom?
As they
say, "Knowledge comes but wisdom lingers".
A Soul
throughout its journey gathers lots of information. This process starts when
the soul enters the fetus in the mother's womb. From there onwards, the soul
gathers knowledge until it breathes that body's last breath. Be that
information is from its first teacher that is his mother or family, friends, or
teachers.
As a person
ages, he/she becomes wiser. This happens because, with the increase in both
knowledge and experience, that person makes more good decisions. Wisdom in a
way is the churned product of knowledge. This further helps in figuring out
what is good or what is bad or makes us closer to the reality of life.
No matter
how knowledgeable a person is, whether he/she is wiser or not depends on his
wisdom. There are people who have reached greater heights in their respective
fields be it politics, science, sports, or arts based on their knowledge. But
does history see all of them as wise persons? No, because what makes a person
great or wiser is their character. Say for example infamous premier of
Germany i.e. Adolf Hitler, no doubt that he was knowledgeable, powerful, and had
leadership qualities. He defeated many nations during World War second. But the
way the common man thinks of him is a notorious dictator. It is because he put
all his knowledge and abilities into destructive purposes.
As it is
clear from the above example merely having knowledge and great abilities does not
build a person with great wisdom. The way knowledge is used makes the difference.
